Layla Grows {12 months}

my ONE year old joy,

It has been an incredible year with you in our lives, baby girl. Your Daddy and I have so loved watching you grow, learn, love, change and experience life. You are passionate and determined. You are ridiculously smart. You already have 20 words and phrases and almost as many signs. You are so so sweet and you light up every room that you walk in to. We hang on your every sound, every word, every emotion. We strive to be the best parents we can be for you. Thank you for opening up our hearts, changing our worlds, strengthening us, helping us rely on the Lord. You have made us better people. We pray that God continue to equip us as parents. You will change the world.

Layla Grows {11 months}

so. as much as i tried to not make this one happen, it did. 

my baby is 11 months old. i am not really sure where that 11th month went. but it went quickly. 

and she is now a quick little one. walking all over the place. she's basically running circles around us. 

she brings us such immense joy. i just spent half an hour holding her and rocking her after she had already fallen asleep in my arms. just so i could watch her & feel her & hear her.

i love my {happy} baby girl. so.so.so much.

{she also just rediscovered sophie and figured out how easy it is to walk around the house making her squeak & squeak & squeak & squeak & squeak. good thing i'm patient.}

oh, and happy new year. 2012 y'all.

Layla Grows {10 months}

ten. months. old. 

Wow. My tiny baby girl is ten months old (and no longer tiny). Two months away from a year. ooo, this means I've really gotta get planning her birthday party :) Good thing I have an amazing SIL who has offered to help with everything :)

She amazes me more & more every day. I am one blessed momma.

Layla Grows {9 months}

I seriously cannot believe that nine months have gone by so quickly.

The joy and blessings that she has brought to our lives are indescribable.

She is changing and learning new things daily.

If you notice, she is wearing shoes. This is a new habit we are trying to form.

She is determined to stand and "walk" and shoes make this process a little easier. 

Three more months til one year. Does that make it acceptable for me to start planning her party?? :)

it is getting difficult keeping her on her back for these pictures :)
i gave her something to keep her distracted.
she loves paper & tags. it's hilarious.

i can already tell that she is going to be a climber.

she is so curious, so determined & so excited about her adventures.

she is such a happy baby.

now, i am off to explore with my sweet baby girl.

today, we will discover leaves.

it is autumn, you know.

Layla Grows {7 months}

 

baby girl is now seven months old. i can.not.believe.it. she is growing so fast.

she turned seven months last week but due to the cold and the rainy weather this last week i haven't been able to take any pictures in her room! 

the sun finally showed itself this morning so i took a few shots!

we finally were able to pull out the cold weather clothes and i got really excited.
it's fun to dress myself in fall clothes and even more fun to dress a baby.

layla is having so much fun talking and singing.

she lovesloveloves giving mommy kisses. and mommy loves those kisses.

these kisses are sloppy wet kisses.

the best kind.

she is on the VERGE of crawling.

she has figured out every single way to get across a room.

except for crawling.

she'll get there though.

she is on the go go go all the time and i love it.

she can now high five.

we {her daddy} have been working on this for..well...seven months.

i am so proud of my little girl.

she is such an amazing little girl and is blessing so many people.

seven months old. wow.

Layla Grows {6 months}

sweet baby girl is six months old now. she has changed so incredibly much in the last month. shoot...she's changed so much in the last week.

she sits.

she reaches.

she "feels" things.

she laughs, smiles, talks, interacts, sings, squeals.

she makes people laugh.

she pulls up {with minimal assistance}.

she is almost pulling herself from a sitting position to a crawling position {oh my}.

she is an incredibly amazing, gifted, beautiful & life changing human being.

in a tiny package.

well...not so tiny anymore.

i love her.

it's a love i never knew was possible.

and it's only gonna get stronger.

yesssssss.

 

six months. six amazing months.

Layla Grows {5 months}

It's so hard to believe that my baby girl is five months old already. It seems like she just arrived & made our lives so beautiful. It also feels like she has been a part of our family forever. 

She is an amazing, hilarious, emotional, beautiful, joyful, precious little girl. And she has stolen every bit of our hearts. 

The first five months have been amazing & it is such an honor being your momma. 

I love you baby girl.
